High Tech Easter Egg Hunt and Egg Dyeing
Easter festivities at Landmark Park! On April 8 at 9:45 a.m. participants will meet at the Gazebo at Landmark Park to receive instructions. From there, your hunt begins. Using GPS units and compasses, you will find Easter eggs hidden around the park. All materials will be provided. Find the golden egg and receive a free membership to Landmark Park. Children under 6 must hunt with an adult. A special area for young children only will be available for those not quite ready to use a compass.
In the Alabama Agricultural Museum, we will be dyeing eggs using natural dyes. Eggs laid by the park’s very own Plymouth Rock chickens will be dyed using plant materials from Landmark Park’s dye garden. Onion skins, greens, berries, turmeric and more can be used to dye eggs.
Registration is required to participate in the Easter activities. Visit www.landmarkparkdothan.com to register. The activities are free with your paid gate admission. Regular daily admission is $5 for adults, $4 for kids and free for children 2 and under. Memberships to Landmark Park are also available.
