Visiting Artist Workshop: Downtown Photography Ramble with Sean Crutchfield

Photographer Sean Crutchfield will lead three groups on a photography excursion in Downtown Dothan. Sean is a Wiregrass Native. His photographic practice focuses on picturing the everyday world around us and exploring relationships to our regional landscape as we move through it. His work has been shown at the WMA and featured by the Oxford American.

For the Photography Ramble, Sean will guide us through his process – particularly sharing how he uses outdoor lighting, architectural lines, angles, and shadows, how he frames the shots, and how to scout the best location. Participants are asked to bring any available camera, even a camera phone. This workshop will be less about technical equipment and all about the process. Learn how to do more than point and shoot!
