One of the things Singleton enjoys most about teaching children in this age range is the sense of excitement that comes with watching a student finally understand a concept. As he puts it, “It warms my heart to have been a part of helping students become the person they are today.”

Of course, teaching isn’t without its challenges, and Singleton is no stranger to frustration. Additionally, with the pace of technology and educational materials, it can be difficult to find easy and effective platforms to manage classrooms effectively.
However, Singleton is not one to be discouraged, and he regularly collaborates with other teachers and staff to support student success. He is always looking for new ideas and teaching practices to bring into the classroom, and he encourages a love of learning in his students by making learning fun, providing hands-on experiences, and supporting them every step of the way.

Outside of teaching, Singleton enjoys spending time with his wife, Melissa, and their two Goldendoodles, Bear, and Bandit. His daughter, Hilary, is also an educator and teaches 4th grade.
