Astronomy Night at the Botanical Gardens

Join us and NASA Ambassador, Khelsea Rantanen, for a night under the stars! We will be looking at some seasonal celestial bodies and learning scientific facts as well as myths and legends of ancient times. This is an after-hours family event beginning at 8 pm at the Dothan Area Botanical Gardens. You may arrive as early as 7:45 pm. Guests are encouraged to bring flashlights for the beginning of the event but lights out is at 8:00 pm to let our eyes adjust to the darkness for the best viewing ability. We ask that you do not bring your own telescopes but binoculars are welcome! Registration is required through DHCLS.org. Space is limited due to the number of available telescopes. As we acquire more telescopes the registration allowance may increase. Please check back regularly.
